I started working with Jesse at the beginning of 2011.
It was a frosty evening, New York , Jesse’s home city. We hung out for the first time there and I kicked it with him, Woo and his crew at their studio. It was a positively natural link up, full of creative potential, vibes, inspiration, laughing and riding around the subway where we went to catch his boy Chris Turner perform at a BET event. That evening we chilled after, Jesse played me some joints that were frankly mindblowing. I knew that we’d murder some tracks together.
Soon after that we kept our promise and started knocking out some ideas. Whenever Jesse was in London, we’d jump in the studio and spark up a session. We’ve been going to and fro ever since, dropping the dynamic ‘High Demand’, joint hosting a Red Bull lecture and finally unveiling our new moniker, Chartreaux.
Chartreux also gives their 1st single “High Demand” for FREE.
